CPET at Teachers College, Columbia University works to understand, define, apply, and share world - class education principles. Through research, CPET has created a 21st Century Global Capacities Framework. It's a tool for educators, based on 20th century critical-thinking skills, to develop skills like analysis, cooperation, creativity, care, perseverance, and global understanding.  

The "21st Century Learner Portrait" is a far-reaching educational innovation concept and a profound insight into future talent cultivation. It offers the education community a comprehensive, 3D learner model, leading educators to rethink and redesign education to meet future needs.

It is the Future Education Institute’s mission to contribute to the cause of education through initiatives like the "21st Century Learner Portrait,” which not only provides guidance for educational practice, but also provides impetus for learners' personal development and social progress.
